ABOUT THE FILMS

The films were made as a calling card for a feature film of the same name and also to enter into festivals and as standalone short films in their own right.

EVIL OF THE VAMPIRES

Aspect ratio 16:9 Originating format : Arri SR3 Super 16mm
The film opens in the past when Anne (Jenny’s mum and Jacks wife) Was a young girl and saves her father from becoming a Vampire with her tears. PRESENT DAY Jack must come to terms with his sons death and save Jenny from the Vampire gang. Only one man can save them now and he’s dead.

VAMPIRE GANG ORIGINS

Aspect ratio 2:35.1 (Cinemascope) Originating format : HD
After reading a post from one of the cast and how wouldn’t it be great if the Vampire gang met for a reunion I got to thinking wouldn’t it be fun to do something a prequel with the Vampire gang. As well as adding a new string to my bow by giving this new film a different slant I could keep the pressure and momentum of keeping Evil of the Vampires universe out there.

Although the second film shown Vampire gang Origins is loosely made within the Evil of the Vampires universe and a prequel set before Evil of the Vampires.
Unfortunately Jody Lee Harris who played our original Jenny was in Australia But we found a fantastic replacement in the form of Eaoifa Forward.

EVIL OF THE VAMPIRES  FEATURE FILM

The feature film will differ considerably to the short films in style content and ambition. Everything is more professional and would need a budget for the tools needed including special effects, sets built and country wide locations. The feature merges Hammer house of horror with Indiana Jones to create an action and thrill packed roller coaster of a ride.

VAMPIRE GANG ORIGINS

Jenny mistreats Tommy her younger brother and her selfish ways lead them into trouble when they meet a newly formed Vampire gang. Will she find the strength to save him and herself?

Shot by Director Mark Morris and brave crew using an EX1 is now almost ready for the festivals. This offshoot was made as a partner to Evil of the Vampires short The aim was by adding a different approach in style and concentrating on the Vampire gang formation and Brother and sister. A sort of prequel. Although we lost our Original Jenny as  (If one doesn't get them the other will!) Neither would be like the Movie version I must stress and was one of my concerns in making shorts to promote the Movie version was people would confuse the ambition of a short with a full scale cinematic production of the feature and although you use the same skills the two are completly different The Movie would be more character orientated with a larger grander traditional narrative and of course a proper budget with soundstage built sets and exotic planned locations but will still have many of the characters.

Just waiting for the DVD's and Blurays to arrive. The press packs are in and we have a limited number of Magnetic vinyl posters Business cards and Postcards. I may wait to premier at Cannes though.

Hopefully we will soon have news on the special cast and crew screening in Londons Soho. The date could very well be 29th Jan Sat at 12pm noon. But it's not confirmed yet.

EVIL OF THE VAMPIRES

My first BLOG is finally online! I will be able to report news and to advertise and reach out to everyone on what's going on in my ambitious journey to make a red hot Movie called Evil of the Vampires.
First I have a limited supply of PAL DVD'S left over from Evil of the Vampires festival run. You can order from the left side pane. All the money will go into film festival entries.

So a quick look at Evil of the Vampires short film.

                                                    EVIL OF THE VAMPIRES TRAILER
Evil of the Vampires is set in a world of criminal vampires. Anne is ten years old when she saves her fathers soul after he is bitten by a Vampire. Twenty five years later. Anne now married to Jack who believes her Father is dead and she is imagining it all. Furthermore he blames Jenny, their daughter for the death of their son. Jenny's anger spills out into a nasty revenge on her Father. Only one person can save them now and he's dead.

THE VAMPIRE GANG

Director of Photography Brian Strange www.brianstrangedop.com Who shot the film with an Arriflex SR3 super 16mm camera. The film was then professionally scanned using Cintel Internationals cutting edge DiTTo.
The films chief aim was to show to potential Investors and Distributers and enter into festivals to show we could make the film. Although very different in scale and story, Evil of the Vampires budget was only about £7000.

Many characters from both Shorts are in the Movie version Which is a very different proposition and really more akin to an updated Hammer horror but made with the excitement and pace a more modern audience expects.

Evil of the Vampires was only entered into world class festivals where the competition was very very HOT. We had our World Premier at the famous Rhode island international Horror film festival http://www.film-festival.org/HorrorCALENDAR10.php
